Besides your company name, your logo or brandmark is easily the most important brand asset of your corporate identity. I take logo design quite seriously, aiming for character, simplicity and scalability.
Next in importance is your color palette and typography. (Think of Shell’s yellow, or BofA’s red.) I’ve rebranded companies without touching their existing logo, simply by updating their colors and fonts. But it is optimal to rethink the company symbol during a brand upgrade. As a firm grows, the power of its logo grows with it.
I developed the Specialized logo specifically for their bike’s narrow headtube. Today its energy represents a brand that has achieved spectacular global success.
